PROSE GARDEN

Roses are smiling in gardens fair,

Filling with fragrance the balmy air,

Wonderful beauty and joy to share,

Roses are smiling at you

Words from "Wedding of the Flowers," a children's operetta performed by my 7th grade class at Botetourt Elementary School in the early fifties.

  1. I love the photos that illustrate those words that I'll wager have been lodged in your brain for the past however-many years...

  2. Wonderful roses. I can almost imagine a 7th grade operetta. What an undertaking! I'm so impressed. (By the roses and by the thought of the performance.)
Thanks for sharing this with us. I love it.
